For a few minutes a day, Hunt meditates using an app suggested by the team to help players get through the isolation.
“I’ve just had a lot of time to just work on myself,” he explained. “Taking time out of your day and enjoying the little things and some breathing exercises. It’s honestly very useful. I find it really relaxes me and gets me ready for the day.
“Of course, we’d want to be on the ice. But what can you do?”
Hunt is one of 46 players, including Winnipegger Seth Jarvis and Jets draft pick Cole Perfetti, hoping to crack Team Canada for the Edmonton world juniors.
He says he’s healthy, and the two teammates who tested positive are doing fine.
But not everyone has taken to isolation as well as he has.
“We’re not allowed to go out of our rooms. And they are really strict about it,” he said. “I’m kind of a laid-back personality, so I don’t mind this. For some guys I guess you…
