A £35,000 mental health and wellbeing facility has been unveiled at Warrington Hospital.
‘The Sanctuary Hub’ has just been opened by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with the chalet-style building offering a ‘shared and relaxing space’ for hospital workers.
The hub will offer a space to host staff support groups, on-site counselling sessions, along with wellbeing activities including: Yoga, bereavement workshops and mindfulness therapies.
The building will be open daily for facilitated sessions with staff health and wellbeing counsellors, or as a drop-in centre for signposting to other support services that are available for staff and volunteers.
The hub was funded by NHS Charities Together and the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
