MIDDLETOWN — The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts Center celebrates the end of the old year and the start of the new with its annual “Fire of Hope” celebration at 1 p.m. Dec. 31. This year’s event will be held online at buttonwood.org, with a limited number of in-person seats at the Buttonwood at 605 Main St., Middletown.
“This special event will unite progressive thinkers and musicians in a unique ceremonial event to ring in the New Year and bid farewell to 2020,” according to the Buttonwood. “HannaH’s Field will make a special appearance with inspiring music, and Annaita Gandhy will introduce us to 2021 with caring words of encouragement so that we can be more aware of our roles in our future together. These are challenging times and we need tools to navigate them to be successful and happy.
